At the South African Wudang Wushu Institute we specialize in traditional wushu (kung-fu), contemporary wushu, tai ji and competitive fighting (sanshou).

Founded by Sifu Jurgens Lamprecht, the school is based in the tranquil area of Poortview, Gauteng, on large premises which offer both indoor and outdoor training areas.

Students also have access to gym equipment as well as having the opportunity of training on an authentic lei tai (fighting platform). We wear the traditional Wushu clothing and incorporate many of the old Chinese Wushu and cultural traditions into our school.

Students are taught authentic Wudang and Shaolin wushu.
At the school we have a strong and credible lineage under Sifu Jurgens Lamprecht.
Sifu Jurgens has been teaching Chinese martial arts since 1985. He has trained with masters from various styles over the years.
Sifu Jurgens falls directly under credible lineage holding grandmasters.

Under the Shaolin lineage is Grandmaster Shi Yan Ming, a 34th generation Shaolin Warrior Monk, originally from the Shaolin Temple in China and currently residing in New York. Under the Wudang lineage is Grandmaster You Xuande, a 14th generation Wudang grandmaster, currently residing in his temple in Wuhan, China.

At the South African Wudang Wushu Institute students have the opportunity of training in a professional and disciplined environment.

The school is affiliated to the South African Wushu Federation.
